Rob Miller is a bassist based outside Philadelphia with more than 35 years of experience performing in a variety of musical settings. Comfortable on electric and upright bass, Rob performs regularly with cover bands, tribute acts, jazz ensembles, and special event groups throughout the region.Over the years, he has played everything from clubs and festivals to private events, fundraisers, corporate functions, and community performances. His broad musical background allows him to adapt to a variety of styles, including rock, pop, funk, R&B, jazz, blues, and acoustic music.Known for solid time, strong preparation, and a professional approach to every engagement, Rob focuses on supporting the music and helping bands sound their best. Whether learning a full setlist for a tribute show, providing a steady groove for a dance band, or walking bass lines in a jazz setting, he brings the same commitment to preparation and performance.In addition to performing, Rob is the creator of GigReadyBass, a resource dedicated to helping bass players turn their practice into real gigs. Through videos and educational content, he shares lessons learned from decades of performing, rehearsing, preparing for shows, and working with other musicians.When he's not on stage, Rob continues to study and develop his craft, with a particular focus on jazz, upright bass, improvisation, and musicianship.
